Houston, we have a contract, says Wood Group
Oilfield support services firm Wood Group has snared a contract with NRG Energy to design and construct a 75 megawatt gas turbine peaking facility at the W A Parish Generating Station, located some 25 miles southwest of Houston.
Oilfield support services firm Wood Group has snared a contract with NRG Energy to design and construct a 75 megawatt gas turbine peaking facility at the W A Parish Generating Station, located some 25 miles southwest of Houston.
The $24m turknkey solution requires Wood Group to install the complete peaking plant and to perform a major inspection and all required maintenance on the gas turbine as part of the overall project.
Wood is to get cracking on this project straight away, with completion targeted for summer 2013.
