The odds of winning are 21,000 to 1 for every bond.

The current prize fund rate for Premium Bonds is 4.4%, which dictates the number of prizes up for grabs rather than an actual rate of interest paid. NS&I could cut this rate at any point, especially after it surpassed its funding level target last year. Cuts to the prize fund rate means fewer prizes in the future.

How will my prize be paid?
If you have opted for automatic payments, NS&I will automatically pay your winnings into your bank account. In this case, NS&I must have your up-to-date bank details.
Or, your prizes will be reinvested if this is what you opted for.
If you haven’t done any of the above, you will receive a cheque – so it’s vital that NS&I has your correct address on record.
