How to pay cash into a bank account

With an increasing number of bank branches closing, you might be wondering how to deposit money or cheques into your account.

The good news is that more banking hubs are opening due to branch closures, with plans for another 61 hubs to open in the UK, including 17 by the end of 2023 and the remainder in 2024. There are currently only seven hubs open.

Banking hubs can be used to deposit or withdraw money. You can visit any banking hub regardless of which high-street bank you’re with.

If there isn’t a banking hub near you yet, most customers can also do “everyday banking” at one of the 11,635 Post Office branches in the UK.
