Warren Buffett aims to buy stocks that look cheap. But he won't buy any old rubbish.

Name one famous investor. The chances are, the first name that springs to mind is Warren Buffett, the "Sage of Omaha". Now one of the richest men in the world, Buffett has made plenty of ordinary investors wealthy too, via the incredible long-term returns made by his investment vehicle, Berkshire Hathaway, a textile company that he took over in 1965 and converted into an investment trust.

Dr Matthew Partridge
