Sporting News Media, which forms part of Perform Group, on Friday officially launched in Canada.

The business also confirmed the launch of five new 'made for digital' video programming initiatives, which will roll out over the next few months.

Juan Delgado, the Chief Executive Officer, of Sporting News Media said: "The nature of sports media consumption is changing and we are listening to what fans want - 24/7 access to premium broadcast-quality and editorial content.

"In this new digital ecosystem we're creating, fans get unparalleled access, marketers efficiently extend campaigns, leagues generate greater participation and media companies drive more views."

The share price 1.72% to 542.50p by 14:25 Friday.
