No young person should feel like they are alone or that they have nowhere to turn.
Mental health issues often arise from the every day pressures of life, but can also often be linked to the anxiety around finances. MoneyWeek recognises the significant impact finances can have on families.
A report from YoungMinds found that young people growing up face an enormous amount of pressure - everything from getting good grades, getting a good job and learning essential adult skills.
Money is a common source of pressure and worry, with 90% of young people worried about earning enough money, and 44% saying they are always or often worried about buying their own house. it’s not just young adults - 40% of children under 16 also worry about having enough money.
But of course, there are many other pressures your people face in today's society - they are ‘crushed by a million pressures’ as YoungMinds put it.
We are close to an emergency situation with young people who struggle to access the support they need when they need it, with many becoming more unwell while waiting for help.
Support is often limited, but with your help, the amazing work YoungMinds is doing can make a huge difference to a young person’s. Good mental health saves lives.
