Computacenter's chairman Greg Lock has opened his account in the IT services group with the purchase of nearly £190,000 worth of shares.
He bought 200,000 shares at 94.75p a time.
Lock's appointment as chairman of the company was announced in May.

He has also been the chairman of intelligence capture solution provider Kofax, previously Dicom, since March 2007.
His appointment followed the resignation of Ron Sandler as Computercenter chairman in February to move to the bank Northern Rock.
Last month, Computacenter said the strong euro helped it boost revenue by 6% during the third quarter, but that revenue since then has been no better than the same time last year.
The company's shares are down by more than half on the year.
