New WPP director takes a stake
A round-up of the biggest director deals today so far.
Solomon Trujillo, a recently-appointed director at the advertising group WPP, has splashed out about £76,000 shares in the firm.
He took 2,000 American Depositary Receipts, paying $59.90 (3,800p) for each one, and now has the equivalent of 10,000 shares in the company.
Trujillo has worked with several media communications companies, including Qwest in the US and Telstra in Australia. He has also served on the board of the soft drinks firm PepsiCo, Bank of America and Gannett, the US newspaper publisher.

He also served as a trade policy advisor to the US government under the Clinton administration.
The announcement of Trujillo's share purchase comes on the same day WPP announced it is buying the US marketing services company Marketing Direct, which has a strong focus on healthcare and insurance companies.
Acquisitions are a key part of WPP's global ambitions. So far this year it has been increasing its presence in markets including Poland, Israel, Brazil, Colombia, Germany and Britain.
Earlier this year WPP upped its growth estimates for the full year after seeing strong sales growth.
