IAG chief determined to seize Lufthansa´s BMI unit
The chairman of International Airlines Group, Antonio Vazquez, yesterday told Bloomberg News in an interview that the company is closing in on the purchase of Deutsche Lufthansa´s BMI unit.
The chairman of International Airlines Group, Antonio Vazquez, yesterday told Bloomberg News in an interview that the company is closing in on the purchase of Deutsche Lufthansas BMI unit.
The above comes after a counterbid for BMI was recently tabled by UK billionaire Richard Branson.
In the words of Vazquez, "I think we'll be able to grab it for sure (...) The negotiations are going well and I'm very optimistic we will be able to complete the deal."
