Stagecoach sticks to full year guidance

Transport group Stagecoach said overall profitability has remained good as it sticks to adjusted earnings per share guidance for the year.

Transport group Stagecoach said overall profitability has remained good as it sticks to adjusted earnings per share guidance for the year.

Like-for-like (LFL) revenue grew 3.6% at its UK Bus regional operations in the forty eight weeks ended March 31st 2013.

Revenue at UK Bus operations in London increased 1.2% during the same period. UK Rail revenue rose 5.4%.

Revenue at its North American operations climbed 9.7% in the 11 months ended March 31st 2013. The figure includes Megabus.com and excludes its disposed Wisconsin school bus business.

Virgin Rail Group revenue increased 3.1% in the 48 weeks ended March 31st 2013.

"Overall current trading remains good and the prospects for the group remain positive," Stagecoach said.
