Jubilant Energy's shares rose in Monday morning trading after the company announced it kicked off production at its KSG66 oil well in the Kharsang Field, Arunachal Pradesh.
The well has been put into production at an initial gross rate of 81 barrels of oil per day (bopd).
It is the second of six development wells part of the Phase III Extension drilling campaign in the north-western part of the Kharsang Field.
The well successfully tested for oil after drilling to a target depth of 1,128 meters measured depth.
Jubilant owns a 25% interest in the prospect with operator GeoEnpro Petroleum, Oil India and GeoPetrol.
Shares climbed 1.82% to 14p at 10:59 Monday.
