Centamin quashes press report
Egypt-focused gold miner Centamin's share price plummeted on Monday morning on the back of reports in an Egyptian newspaper which cited an un-named government source as stating that there have been breaches of the company´s concession agreement.
Egypt-focused gold miner Centamin's share price plummeted on Monday morning on the back of reports in an Egyptian newspaper which cited an un-named government source as stating that there have been breaches of the companys concession agreement.
The firm, however, has been quick to refute the report, saying there have been no such breaches, that no notice of breaches has been served and that operations at its principle asset, the Sukari gold mine, continue as normal.
As of 10:22 shares of Centamin are down by 11.44% to the 65.05p mark.
