MoneyWeek map: Who has the most gold?
Gold is the metal on everyone's wish list right now. So, which countries are hoarding the most, and how does Britain compare? This map reveals all.

The top holder, with more than 8,000 tonnes of gold, is America, with India slipping into tenth place. Britain, with 310 tonnes (less than half the amount we had in 1999, when then-chancellor Gordon Brown decided to sell nearly 400 tonnes of gold), sits at 16th place.
