Forbes has identified 1,426 billionaires living in the world today. This map shows which regions they come from, and lists the three wealthiest people from each region.
Forbes has released its rich list for 2013. The magazine reckons there are now a record 1,426 billionaires in the world, with a combined net worth of $5.4trn. But where do they all come from?
Forbes splits the list into five geographic regions. In the map above, we've noted (in red) the total number of billionaires in each region, and then listed the three wealthiest, along with the size and source of their fortune, and the country they call home.
