Construction group Balfour Beatty said on Monday that it was on the cusp of securing a 798m dollar bridge-building project in the USA.
Construction group Balfour Beatty said on Monday that it was on the cusp of securing a 798m dollar bridge-building project in the USA.
The firm's joint venture with Fluor Corporation had been named joint bidder to undertake the upgrades and replacements of river crossings in Dallas, Texas.
The Texas Department of Transportation's estimate for the design, construction, utilities and right of way for the project is around $798m.

The 'Dallas Horseshoe' project covers the upgrade and replacement of several bridges, as well as construction of additional lanes.
The design work will start in early 2013 and will be completed in 2017.
Chief Executive Ian Tyler said transportation was a key component of the company's plan to use its design and construction expertise to develop its business in complex design-build transportation projects.
"Our expertise across the infrastructure lifecycle differentiates us from other companies in the market and adds value for our customers," he said.
