African Eagle unveils positive results from test of ores

African Eagle, the AIM-listed nickel exploration and development company, has unveiled positive results from a test conducted on its Wamangola and Ngasamo Ferruginous Siliceous and Transition ores.
The company confirmed positive beneficiation results in the two ores following completion of a targeted metallurgical variability test work campaign.
Ore beneficiation is anticipated to positively impact the group's Dutwa project, because it minimises both the acid requirements per unit of nickel leached and optimises the capacity of the processing plant.
Further test work on the leach response of the beneficiated ores is still underway and the group stated that it expected to finalise these and report later, in the first quarter of 2013.
Results demonstrated that the run-of-mine Ferruginous Siliceous ores from both deposits were strongly amenable to beneficiation via silica rejection.
