It was bad news for gold investors at the start of this week as the price of the yellow metal fell following a remarkable rally last week.
Similarly, investors in silver, nicknamed the ‘devil’s metal’, also saw their commodity sharply fall this week, going down by 13.5% between 16 and 27 October.
Meanwhile, it has been a much more mixed picture for tech investors after six of the Magnificent Seven firms reported their Q3 2025 earnings this week.

Meta’s shares are down 11% between 29 and 31 October, while shares in Google’s parent company Alphabet jumped 5.51% immediately after reporting their results.
