Welcome to the MoneyWeek Readers’ Choice Awards 2024.

As investing and personal finance experts at MoneyWeek, we often review products and services based on fees, interest rates, rewards, online tools and other concrete factors that we can evaluate from the outside. Using that information, we pass along recommendations to our readers, sharing our beliefs on which providers stand above the rest. As readers, you have valuable insights. Customers have everyday experiences that we can’t replicate when we make our judgements, and we want to tap your expertise. With that in mind, we launched the MoneyWeek Readers’ Choice Awards 2024.

We asked you to rate a range of financial products and services based on criteria such as their experience with customer service representatives, how likely you are to recommend the providers to others and how satisfied you are overall with the companies or services.

Brokers

What is your experience with brokers? Whether you use a broker for shares, investment trusts, ETFs, funds or international dealing – we asked you to rate up to three brokers based on costs, ease of use, customer service, and the range of investments available.

Pension providers

Saving into a personal pension can make a significant difference to your retirement income and we want to know how you feel about your pension provider. Whether it’s one you use to invest in a ‘simple’ plan, using a small range of funds or a ready-made portfolio option or a ‘complex’ portfolio which gives you access to various types of investments, we asked you to rank them based on costs, customer service, and ease of use.

Trading platforms

A good trading platform allows you to buy and sell with ease, and has low costs, useful tools and trust. So, whether it’s CFDs, low fees, spread bets, forex or trade on margin, we asked you to rate up to three brokers based on costs, range of markets available, ease of use and customer support.

Robo-advisers

Robo-advisers have been around for some years now helping new investors get started or providing an uncomplicated solution for those who simply want their investments managed for them. But with so many options now available, which robos are providing an exceptional service that helps you make the most of your money?

You rated up to three based on costs, range of investment options, ease of use and customer support.

Junior ISAs

Junior ISAs launched over 10 years ago and for many families, they have provided an excellent way to save for their children in a tax-efficient way. But which Junior ISA provider comes out on top when it comes to saving for your child’s future?

We asked you to rate up to three providers that you use for holding investments in a Junior ISA based on costs, investment options, ease of use and customer service.

Financial apps

Money apps help people save and invest with ease, often using clever budgeting tools to guide users into products that could help them grow their money. But with so many apps on the market, which ones stand out from the crowd? You rated up to three apps that you use to invest or save based on costs, range of investments available, ease of use and customer support.

Please note, these are providers where the service was created to be used solely or mostly through an app, and not apps that are an add-on to the provider’s existing website.

ETF/index products

ETFs or index funds continue to be popular and often play a key role in investment portfolios. But which providers do you rate? You selected up to three issuers of exchange-traded funds or index funds based on costs, tracking difference, range of investment products and liquidity.

Investment data providers

Good data allows you to make informed decisions when it comes to managing your investments, but which providers do you rely on? You rated up to three providers of investment data or software based on costs, data quality, ease of use and customer support.

Banks

The UK's current account market has become extremely competitive in the last few years as banks and building societies are having to work harder to keep their existing customers and attract new ones. The savings market has also heated up as better rates on cash accounts allow banks to draw in new customers. Equally, business owners also have a wider range of accounts to choose from.

But which banks or building societies come up on top? We asked you to rate up to three based on service, costs, accounts perks and rewards, interest rates, digital services, and customer support.

Rewards cards

Credit cards often come with sweeteners like cashback or rewards which can help you make the most of your spending. But which provider trumps it with the best deal? You rated up to three providers of cashback or rewards debit or credit cards, based on rewards, online and mobile service, customer service and support.

Travel cards

Using the right travel card when travelling abroad can help keep costs down but may also come with other handy perks. Do you have a debit card, or credit card, that has useful features for travel?

You rated up to three providers of debit or credit cards for use while travelling based on foreign exchange fees, travel benefits, digital services, plus customer service and support.

Money transfers

Money transfer services are a great way to send money abroad. Have you recently used any specialist services for managing international money transfers or converting currencies? You rated up to three services for international money transfers or currency conversion based on FX rates and fees, speed of service, digital services, plus customer support.
