The LG Netbook X110 (above) is the latest contender for the Asus Netbook's crown (see below), says T3. Compared with the Asus EEE PC 1000 model, it has double the memory on its 80GB drive (that's 20,000 MP3s, or more Word documents than you'll ever want), is lighter (impressive, considering its size and chunky hard-drive) and has a 10-inch screen (the same as the EEE PC, which makes it small enough to fit in a bag, but not so small you can't read the screen). The only downside is it only runs Windows and can't run Linux. If you can live with that, this is a "genuine contender" for the top spot. See www.lge.com.
