Friday preview: Fuller's seeks to raise the bar
Pubs owner and brewer Fuller, Smith and Turner is set to release interim figures on Friday and if the performance of rival Young's is anything to go by, the company's focus on London and the South-East should mean that the Chiswick-based firm's shareholders will be able to raise a glass of London Pride to a resilient performance.

Young's, which released figures on Thursday, had a pretty good September, and there is little reason to suppose that Fuller's, whose pubs estate overlaps with that of Young's, did not also finish the half-year reporting period with a flourish.
Investors will be keen to learn if the company has any plans to go back on the acquisition trail after its low-ball offer for London-based pub group Capital Group was topped by Greene King. Since that disappointment Fullers has bought five pubs from rival Marston's for a cool £16m.
