Diageo's Menezes gets plum COO role
The owner of Guinness and Baileys, Diageo, has announced the appointment of Ivan Menezes as Chief Operating Officer.
The owner of Guinness and Baileys, Diageo, has announced the appointment of Ivan Menezes as Chief Operating Officer.
Menezes is currently in charge of the American, Caribbean and Asia Pacific divisions.
He will add Europe and Africa to his responsibilities and report directly the group's Chief Executive Paul Walsh.

Commenting on the appointment Walsh said: "Given our strong performance momentum; the Diageo board and I agree that now is the right time to extend Ivan's remit to embrace all of our markets globally."
Diageo shares have gained 25% in the last 12 months.
