Bank of England confirms the four animals to feature on new banknotes

Hundreds of thousands of people have had their say on which animals should feature on the next series of banknotes printed by the Bank of England.

The public have had their say on which four animals will feature on the next series of £5, £10, £20 and £50 banknotes.

Almost 480,000 Brits voted in a consultation launched by the Bank of England in June to decide which fauna will replace historical figures on the notes, and the results are in.
