Buying your heat pump directly from E.ON Next means you can get one installed hassle-free with no additional cost surprises.
If you are thinking of getting one for your home, you may have some questions before you invest in one and why a trusted provider like E.ON Next may be best suited for your energy and heat pump needs.
We answer some of the common questions around heat pumps and what to consider if you are thinking of one.
What is a heat pump and its benefits?
Households are starting to replace boilers with heat pumps to reduce their carbon footprint and to help reduce their overall energy usage and bills. Heat pumps take warmth from the outside air, or ground, and then use it to heat your home and water. This is a lot better for the environment and a lot more efficient than burning gas or fossil fuels with a gas boiler.
How much will a heat pump cost?
Prices for a heat pump solution from E.ON Next start from £12,000, which includes all round service where E.ON Next will provide your heat pump and take care of the installation from start to finish.
But there is help with costs if you are looking to install one with the government of £7,500 via the Boiler Upgrade Scheme.
What is the Boiler Upgrade Scheme for heat pumps?
If you live in England or Wales, you can benefit from a grant of £7,500 through the Boiler Upgrade Scheme if you’re buying an air to water source heat pump. You can get the grant through your installer, who must apply for it on your behalf.
If you are replacing your fossil fuel heating system with a heat pump, then you are eligible for the grant as long as the application is made before the end of March 2030, when the scheme will end.
The process differs between England, Scotland and Wales. If you live in Scotland you can benefit from a £9,000 grant via Home Energy Scotland.
Am I eligible for a grant when buying a Heat Pump from E.ON Next?
You can benefit from the grant when buying a Heat Pump from your provider, as long as you own the property, you are replacing a fossil fuel heating system, and have a valid Energy Performance Certificate (APC) of at least 10 years. If you do not have a valid EPC, E.ON Next can take care of this for you, so that;s one less thing to worry about.
Your installer must apply for the grant for you and then install your heat pump within 120 days of applying for the grant.
