Asad Farid, CFA, is a Director and Lead Portfolio Manager of the JSS Sustainable Equity – Strategic Materials Fund at J. Safra Sarasin Sustainable Asset Management. The fund targets the global value chain of critical and strategic materials essential to electrification and the energy transition.
With over 17 years of experience in commodities, metals, and mining, Asad previously managed global thematic and ESG funds at Shell Asset Management. Before that, he covered green metals and energy-transition sectors as an Associate Director at Berenberg Bank. Asad holds an MBA from the University of Cambridge and is a CFA charterholder.
