IG Index

IG index was the original financial spread betting provider. Set up in 1974 as 'Investors Gold Index' they later changed their name to 'IG index' and set up spread betting on the share prices of the FT 30 companies back in 1982.
In 2000 they were floated on the London Stock Exchange (LSE: IGG). And in 2007 they brought out their award winning platform - Pure Deal.
The IG group have continued to expand their operations and now cater for CFDs and sports spread betting, as well as launching apps for the iPhone.
