JKX Oil & Gas rallied hard Thursday, helped by news that boss Paul Davies has splashed out more than £68,000 on new shares.
Davies, who joined the board in January 1998, bought 50,000 at 136.7p each, taking his stake to 3.64m shares, or 2.3% of the business.
John Ogren, a non-executive director at John Wood Group, has also been in the buying mood, snapping up 25,000 shares in the oilfield services company.
