What that means is that the company takes a donor E Type Jag and strips it down to the last nut and bolt before building it back up again from scratch, improving and modernising every step of the way. The result is a thoroughly modernised version of the classic, with extraordinary attention to detail and an eye-watering price of £650,000.
It is a sublime creation and a flawless example of engineering excellence, says Chris Evans in the Daily Mail. Almost everything is made from aluminium, including the engine and gearbox, which reduces the weight by more than 30% a fact which explains the 0-60mph time of less than five seconds and a top speed of over 170mph.

The car tested here might perhaps have been better without the new fuel-injection system and power steering both take away from the visceral E-Type driving experience, says Evans. But when you're paying well north of half a million pounds for your customised car, you can have whatever it is exactly that you want.
That makes it the most expensive road car Evans has ever tested but can you put a price on "automotive nirvana"?
