Pearson's Penguin boss picks up £2.2m

A round-up of the biggest director deals today so far.

John Makinson, a director at the publisher Pearson and chairman and chief executive of its book publishing arm Penguin, has pocketed £2.2m from the sale of shares in the company.

He sold 200,000 Pearson shares at 1,106p a time leaving him with 402,815 shares.
