Data collection and analysis group Sky High has managed to turn in a profit in the full year to the end of March, following a loss in 2010/11. Revenues rose 22% to £5.8m while profits before tax came in at £80,000 pounds against a £250,000 loss in the previous year. The company now says it wants to grow its recent acquisition, Count on Us, to become the "UK's market leading transport data collection business".
Vipera, the specialist provider of mobile financial services, has reported a big increase in losses in the six months to the end of June, despite some encouraging news on forward orders. Revenues in the first half fell from £370k last year to £250k in 2012. Losses widened from £191k to £537k. The Chairman Luciano Martucci emphasised there had been progress in "opening doors" to the European market during 2011 and evidenced it by announcing the "biggest ever order for digital payment services" with an Italian customer.
