Samsung to use Imagination
Mobile phone and computer chip maker Imagination Technologies has signed an agreement with Samsung Electronics for intellectual property from Imagination's PowerVR SGX MP multiprocessor graphics family.
Mobile phone and computer chip maker Imagination Technologies has signed an agreement with Samsung Electronics for intellectual property from Imagination's PowerVR SGX MP multiprocessor graphics family.
Samsung will distribute Imagination's technologies in multiple systems on chip, targeting mobile and consumer markets, the firm said.
Under the terms of its licensing arrangements, Imagination receives licence fees and royalty revenues on systems on chip, incorporating Imagination's intellectual property.
