John Menzies renegotiates News International contract

Menzies Distribution, the newspaper and magazine wholesaling division of FTSE 250 group John Menzies, has successfully renegotiated contract terms with News International, the largest newspaper publisher in the UK.
Menzies' contract will now include the distribution of titles in Kent and Lancashire from October 2012 and in Northern Ireland from September 2013.
David McIntosh, Managing Director, Menzies Distribution said: "I am very pleased that we have concluded negotiations with News International and that we will be expanding our relationship into new territories. This is a very significant contract renewal for the business and allows us to plan positively for the future.

"This significant contract renewal provides the division with a strong platform for the future development. News International's titles represent 34% of the total UK newspaper market and this contract secures some £158m of annual trade sales value through to 2019."
The share price rose 0.81% to 620p by 14:54.
