Defence firm Cobham has extended its Fly-in Fly-out (FIFO) service contract with Australian nickel producer Minara Resources to the end of 2015.
The two-and-a-half year contract extension is worth AUD$18m and builds on one of Western Australia's longest FIFO relationships, with Cobham's operations commencing in 2001.
The FIFO service entails transporting around 1,000 workers to and from the remote nickel mine at Murrin Murrin, some 560 miles north-east of Perth.
