Sound Energy says Badille drilling commences

Sound Energy confirms that drilling of the Badile exploration well, onshore Italy, commenced on 7 March 2017.

The Badile well site is in Northern Italy, about 15km to the south of Milan and the exploration well will test the hydrocarbon potential of the Conchodon Dolomite reservoir of Lower Jurassic-Triassic age.

The well was planned to be drilled and logged to a total depth of 4,445m with drilling and logging expected to take about 100 days.

Assuming gas was encountered, a further 25 days would be required for the completion and testing phase.
